We are currently seeking an IT Service Owner to join our IT Department at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) who will manage, develop, implement and work hands on with our IT Services.
We believe you have a solid foundation in IT service management, with a few years of relevant experience. As part of a small team with diverse roles, you will be expected to work both strategically and hands-on with IT service management tasks.
Responsibilities
As an IT Service Owner at SSE, you'll have a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our IT services. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks, such as:
- Overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT services, ensuring they effectively meet the needs of the organization and its users.
- Coordinating with various stakeholders to define service requirements and align them with business objectives.
- Proactively identifying areas for service improvement and implementing solutions to enhance service delivery.
- Ensuring well-functioning IT operations and maintenance.
- Monitoring service performance and responding to incidents and service requests efficiently.
- Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in IT service management to continuously optimize service quality.
- Establishing and ensuring compliance with budgetary requirements.
Your profile
In this role, it is essential to be problem-solving, driven, and proactive, with a strong ability to take initiative and work independently with what is needed. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals. A service-minded approach and a people-friendly attitude are highly valued. Additionally, being structured and flexible will help you thrive in our international and entrepreneurial environment. Requirements:
- A few years’ experience from similar tasks, such as IT service management and IT security tasks.
- Experience from procurements. This includes tasks such as identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality procurement outcomes.
- A higher education, from a relevant field such as IT or Technology.
- Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in IT Security.
- Experience in network security, mobile security, client security, IT security systems, and access systems.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Previous experience in a similar work environment.
- Proficiency in IT service desk operations.
Additional information
This is a full-time permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
