Technical Operations Manager
Wesmans’ Survey Team provides marine-, cargo- & transport liability surveys for their clients within the logistics-, transport- and marine- & cargo insurance industry.
Our surveyors provide Cargo-, Pre-Shipment-, Condition-, Loading and Lashing surveys, Heavy-lift operations and preparation of transport manuals/procedures, lashing and securing arrangements and various training courses to Insurance companies, Logistics providers, Shipping companies, Manufacturing industry, Oil and gas industry, Ports and terminals and Authorities
We are now searching for skilled Managers to take on this role locally in Sweden. Preferably you are located in Gothenburg or Stockholm.
Key responsibilities:
As a Technical Operations Manager you will:
Lead, mentor and manage the local team, ensuring smooth personnel management and creating an environment that encourages professional development.
Collaborate with other Technical Operations Managers and the Head of Technical Services to establish shared goals, and continuously improve and streamline operational procedures.
Oversee budget management, ensuring financial accountability and efficient resource allocation.
Distribute and prioritize incoming assignments within the team while maintaining transparent communication with clients to effectively manage expectations.
Develop and execute local marketing strategies to promote the company's services and enhance brand visibility.
Support the Finance team by providing accurate invoicing documentation to ensure smooth financial processes.
Be part of a rotating schedule to provide after-hours client support, ensuring seamless service at all times.
What we think you need to succeed:
Proven leadership experience with personnel responsibilities, including the ability to inspire, guide, and motivate your team toward shared goals.
Clear and transparent communication - strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and transparently communicate both within the team and with clients. Proficiency in English and a Scandinavian language (spoken and written) is required.
Decision Making – confident in making informed decisions quickly, even in high-pressure situations.
Problem Solving – with the ability to analyze complex situations, develop solutions, and ensure smooth operations. You are proactive in addressing challenges to ensure client satisfaction and adapt marketing strategies when needed.
Empathy – understand and consider the needs of team members, fostering a supportive work environment. Actively listen to client needs and create solutions and marketing strategies that align with the market.
Accountability – take ownership of responsibilities and hold the team accountable for their performance. You also manage client relationships and marketing initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results.
