About the role

As Operational Purchaser you have the task and responsibility for the complete process of maintaining the correct level and availability of stock, supporting customers and sales growth while keeping optimal stock levels on hand.

Furthermore, an important part is to work with supplier management to secure on time delivery and make sure the business runs smoothly. A teamplayer with the willingness to drive improvements creating excellence in operations and highest customer value.

Responsibilities

Supplier management

- Drive supplier relationships and communication to be the best partner with Hästens

- Manage supplier development to be innovative and with continuous improvements

- Update purchasing records, information and pricing in our business system

- Ensure and improve our internal and external processes - strive seeking new ways to improve our business

Order management

- Manage purchase orders in our business system
- Follow up on orders and inbound deliveries to achieve improved flow of goods
- Review and follow up on quality on purchased products
- Ensure that our MRP policies and Supply Chain policies are validated and updated in our business system
- Support opportunities for sell through and sales activites


Partnership and cooperation

- Work in close partnership in Hästens matrix organization
- Support collaboration both within Supply chain and other functions
- Training suppliers in Hästens standards and ensure that they are met according to our expectations
- Communicate with other departments about status and actions taken
- Identify and support improvements across departments


Ensure performance on important KPIs

- Availability of stock targets (%)
- On time delivery from suppliers (inbound performance %)
- Perfect Order (order accuracy %)


Skills and requirements

- Bachelor or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply chain knowledge is a strong plus

- 3+ years’ experience of purchasing or/and Supply planning
- Experience in the high-end furniture or textile segment is a plus
- Experience in using tools such as Microsoft Office365, Salesforce, Tableau


Other requirements

- Position needs to be based in Sweden

- Ability to communicate with and on all levels of the organization
- Good communication skills, written and spoken in English and Swedish
- Ability to work independently and well in team
- Working out of Köping
- Willingness and ability to travel when required
- Excellent relationships building skills
- Have a holistic way of working with supply chain
- Understanding of inventory management
