About us
Husqvarna Group consist today of three different divisions: Husqvarna, Gardena and Construction and some Group Functions to support the different business divisions. The IT organization within Husqvarna Group is named Global Information Services (GIS) and is a Group Function who provides services to the entire group. GIS has three different specific IT organizations who is respectively working close to each business division.
In this recruitment the IT organization working closely with Husqvarna Construction Division is looking for a new colleague.
The IT function within the Construction division is fairly new with the purpose to further strengthen the IT delivery towards the business and be seen as a true business partner. One of the departments within Construction IT is the Operations Department and the purpose of the department is to make sure that the IT operations delivers according to set SLAs towards Construction. The function is managed by different internal and external parties and must ensure delivery through its own resources as well as through collaboration with internal and external partners.

About the position
In the role as Operations Director you’re expected to act as the link between the internal IT delivery center for Infrastructure, our partners and the business organization. You are responsible to make sure that the IT operations delivery towards the Construction business division functions according to set SLAs, this includes application management, infrastructure and workplace management, and that the operations delivery is as efficient as possible.
You will be joining a new unit with the ambition to build this function in close collaboration with the business and internal delivery centers. Initially this will require that you work hands-on until you have a team in place. You will set the processes and routines for the work that will be done in this function for the future.
In this position you will also take an active part in the IT Management Team for the Construction Divison and participate in management decision-making processes. You will report on operations performance to upper management and have an key role in the ongoing strategy work to strengthen the IT delivery.
Other responsibilities are:
Budget responsibility for department.
Be part of steering committees for IT projects.
Support in work and communication around critical incidents.
Build operational excellence and enable IT to be a true partner to the business.
Build and maintain good relations with key business stakeholders as well as internal GIS colleagues.
You will report directly to the Vice President IT Services & Solutions Construction.
This position is located in Jonsered and travels will occur
Who you are
In order for you to be successful in this position we see that you are communicative as a person with great networking skills with an ambition to succeed through collaboration with others. We also see that you’re structured a person as the position will require a lot of contact with internal and external partners.
The right candidate for this role have several years of relevant work experience as a leader working with application management, workplace management and/or infrastructure. This preferable in a global context in a role as an IT Operations Director, Application Maintenance Director and/or Infrastructure Director.
Other requirements for the role are:
A master's degree in science, computer engineering or equivalent education or experience.
Experience from working in a Management Team.
Experience from working in project steering committees.
Experience from Incident Management.
Fluent in English.
