Operations Environmental Manager

Do you want to be a part of a new organization that forms the future? Saab Business Area Surveillance is creating a new environmental management function. We are looking for people to our new environmental management group.



Your role

You will be part of Surveillance central environmental management function and report directly to Head of Environmental Management. The group will support the Business Area's management, employees and operations regarding environmental matters. The function have governance for both the products environmental impact and the operations environmental impact.



As an Operations Environmental Manager, you will handle a wide range of tasks within the framework of operations environmental management. Your role will govern and assure compliance to environmental requirements by monitoring and implement laws and regulations as well as have an important role to help the organization to implement, drive and follow up the environmental strategy, objectives and targets within the environmental field. You will also have the possibility to contribute in development of common and local processes and procedures enabling best practice way of working.



Saab is part of the UN Climate campaign "Race to Zero" with the aim to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emission by 2050. You will be part of Surveillance Sustainability initiative, correlated to this, that handles climate and energy related issues. You also represent Surveillance in contact with environmental authorities and other stakeholders regarding operational environmental matters.

This provides the opportunity to develop a broad network of contacts within the company.

As your field of work spans our entire business, you will work closely with employees and management teams across Surveillance in Sweden and abroad.

Required skills:

Master degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience

Strong drive, perseverance and ability to generate energy

Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, written and verbal

Open minded with focus on collaboration and improvements



Desired skills:

Good knowledge in environmental legislation
*

Good knowledge of ISO14001 standard and audit management
*

Knowledge of performing Life Cycle Assessment
*

Experience from defence and/or aviation industry



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions, requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Environmental management will be part of Quality Management, but you will interact throughout and outside of BA Surveillance and travelling will be required.

Base office location is at any of Surveillance's major Swedish sites Gothenburg, Järfälla or Huskvarna.
