Job Description
As the Operations & Expansion Manager within the ARKET café team you will be responsible for translating the café concept into needs regarding operations and profitability as well as leading the team through our expansion projects when opening a new unit. You will be responsible for improving and maintaining our tools for operations and concept standards. You will drive knowledge sharing and best practice between cafés regarding operations and profitability and train senior café managers in how to maintain a high quality of service & standards of the café operation routines.
You will also support the development of café layouts by contributing operational knowledge and be the first point of contact for the café team for expansion & area teams when opening a new unit. As team lead for all expansion projects you set up a structured process to make sure that all aspects of opening new cafés are done in time and in alignment with all stakeholders. As a member of the café team at ARKET you also contribute to our great culture of collaboration, empowerment and openness. And of course participate in the occasional pastry tasting.
Qualifications
We are looking for a team player with great communication skills, a problem-solving mindset and that feels comfortable working in a fast-moving environment focusing on growth. You also have strong relationship building, networking, and negotiating skill. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you are involved and contribute to constantly improving processes and way of working. You are a person that is structured and have a good understanding at prioritize the right things.
Extended experience from a role in Operations or Expansion in a restaurant/café chain
Experience from setting up operational café processes, such as scheduling, recruiting, and creating budgets
Experience from project management and/or leadership roles
Knowledge and/or experience in what drives profitability in a café organisation
International experience from a global company
Expansion experience preferred
Business administration skills, for example Excel, Office packet
Fluent in English, both orally and written. Other language skills are a merit.
If you have a big passion for food, it’s a plus.



Additional Information
The position is a temporary maternity cover (1 year), preferably starting in September/October 2021. Based at our office in Stockholm City.
