Operations Graduate Program – E-mobility Engineer

In addition, you will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. We furthermore offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our fully electric or autonomous products.

Who are you?
You have a BSc or MSc in Electrical/Electric Power Engineering and an interest in energy storage systems (ESS). You are a communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself, your team, and the business that you are working in. Innovative solutions and seeing things from a new perspective motivates you. You have maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation and a work permit for Sweden.
Your English and Swedish skills are solid.
Job Description:
You will work as a member of our industrialization team with a focus on future products. The teams' mission is to ensure a successful, efficient, and safe industrialization of e.g. Energy storage system products (ESS-products). The day-to-day business includes technical support and problem solving, quality assurance, process and product verification, acquisition and implementation of production equipment and IT systems as well as workplaces and working methods.

At the Group Trucks Operation Plant in Skövde we manufacture propulsion and components for all Volvo Group applications. Guided by the Continuous Improvement, the engine plant provides a modern, quiet and pleasant working environment. Customer Satisfaction is our priority, and we aim at being a key player in the Volvo Group.
This is us, your new team:
The assembly technology area consists of about 50 employees divided into 4 groups: project management, two Manufacturing Engineering groups and Prototyping. Our main mission is to improve our current manufacturing processes and prepare for and industrialize future products. The products range from conventional combustion engines to future electrified drive lines.
The transformation from fossil fuels to more sustainable energy sources is already ongoing. We have a very exiting journey ahead of us, are you up for the challenge?
