Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program
Position – End-to-End Flow & Digitalization Developer
If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Operations and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.
You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international on the job-rotations and work on business critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group. We offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our full electric or autonomous products.

Service Market Logistics (SML) is part of Group Trucks Operations. Our organization has about 4,000 employees globally in over 40 locations. Every day, we deliver world-class operational excellence for our customers, based on smart logistical solutions. Our job is to develop, manage and optimize the Service Market supply chain for all Volvo Group brands. The scope for Service Market Logistics includes Flow Optimization, Inventory Management, Distribution Center operations, Customs & Trade as well as the development of logistical solutions to ensure the highest possible parts availability, delivery precision and quality everywhere in the world. In our region we operate the Central Distribution Center in Gent and the Support Distribution Centers across Europe, the Supply Planning teams and the Service Centers. We are on our lean journey, increasing our focus on what really matters for our customers. Our Service Centers are the glue between the dealer workshops and the SML organization. Our Transport Management team drives continuous improvement of our E2E logistical flows. You are part of a dynamic and multicultural organization located across 3 countries. Our work helps our dealers keep their workshops going and secures our customers’ uptime.
Main activities and responsibilities:
We are digitalizing our ways of working, which will enable us to solve our customers’ problems in different ways. This digitalization will transform the way we develop competence of our co-workers, how we work internally and how we interface with our carriers and dealers across Europe. The aim of your role is to actively take part in this transformation into a digital arena, developing data and tools to improve our Flow performance. We want to accelerate the usage of data to manage the performance of our carriers and E2E flows, to optimize transportation (from a cost, lead time and sustainability perspective) and to increase transport visibility for our customers.
Who are you?
You have a keen interest in technology and data and are energized to transform our processes by working together with our co-workers, carriers and dealers. You might not know everything yet about data, lean, power BI or RPAs, but you are a curious and fast learner with a growth mindset, who is eager to share knowledge and put theory into practice.
Required knowledge/experience :
Msc. In Engineering, Computer Sciences or alike.
Data analytics and data management: Proficiency in tools and techniques such as data mining, data cleansing and data transformation. Experience with SQL is an advantage.
Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and cloud-based services (Azure).
Understanding of system and application integration through APIs.
Coding skills: preferably Python.
Maximum two years of previous full-time working experience, prior to or after graduation.
In this truly global program, communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
Valid work permit for Belgium or Sweden if not a citizen.
