The GTO International Manufacturing focus is to support the Sales & Marketing organization by being present with assembly operations in the local market when required. We operate some fully Volvo owned plants in South Africa, India, Algeria, United States and Australia as well as Joint Ventures in Saudi Arabia. We also support KD assembly worldwide together with Private Partners. Our industrial development teamwork close to all sales organizations investigating localization needs, both change in existing footprint as well as expansion to new markets.
GTO International Manufacturing supports 3 brands, operate in 11 countries and we are around 1300 employes. We secure local assembly operations in countries where the import taxes are high on CBU trucks or when legal local demands require local assembly.
Our operations encompass all processes from incoming orders to delivery of complete trucks to our customers, including the start-up of new overseas factories and the introduction of new products into existing factories. The main flow of parts and components are coming from our pick and pack platforms in Sweden, France and US.

Our Plant Coordination Team supports a wide range of manufacturing engineering topics. We are a diverse team of 14, spread across four countries – Sweden, France, India and Australia – bringing together a rich mix of expertise and competencies in a multicultural environment.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive production and engineering support to KD-factories and coordinating long-term development efforts within the area of responsibility. This role involves active participation in the start-up projects of new KD-factories and overseeing the seamless introduction of new products into established facilities.
Responsibilities include coordinating product introductions, developing and evaluating product and process documentation, and participating in various product and process projects. The role also involves providing factories with relevant information related to batch deliveries, assisting and educating teams on product and process changes, and contributing engineering advice to ensure that KD plants have the necessary prerequisites to meet their targets.

In this role, you will lead development efforts and support our plants, ensuring our production lines are efficient and reliable.

Required knowledge/experience:
• Master's (MSc) degree in Mechanical and Industrial, production engineering or relevant field
• Fully proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Maximum two years of previous full-time working experience, prior to or after graduation. Work during studies is not included
