In addition, you will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. We furthermore offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI, data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our fully electric or autonomous products.

Required knowledge/experience
Maximum two years of previous working experience from production engineering within assembly, prior to or after graduation.
Fluency in both speaking and writing in English and Swedish.
BSc or MSc in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Valid work permit for the applied country if not a citizen.

With us, you can make a difference and see your improvements become a reality! As a production engineer in Köping, you work in a team supporting our production area Assembly. The job requires good communication skills to establish relationships with colleagues within the Köping factory but also with our colleagues in other factories worldwide. As a Production Engineer in Köping, the main responsibility lies in preparing production for new products and process changes. The exciting and fun thing about our job is that it can have such a big impact on the factory's production results, both in terms of ergonomics, production rate and quality. Furthermore, the Köping plant is the pilot plant of transmission manufacturing within Volvo Group. That means that you will contribute to establishing best practices and distributing those to other sites around the world.
Who are we looking for?
You are a curious and engaged Engineer who loves new opportunities. We think that you are a good problem solver with the goal of finding improvements and solutions to drive the factory forward. You like data analysis, electronics and if you cannot already write some lines of code – you will learn it! You are fun to work with and you would love to explore new Digitalization grounds within Production Engineering. You work without prestige, fact-based and it is easy to see situations from different perspectives and from that arrive at the root cause.
You are motivated by constantly developing yourself and your environment. You enjoy having several tasks in progress at the same time where you can act quickly, and you also participate in long-term projects. It is important for you to deliver in a way that makes the recipient happy. You are good at communicating and like to build relationships with different types of people and see the benefits in teamwork, as well as you take your own initiatives and can work on your own when needed. You have a strong interest in production development and are interested in taking on upcoming challenges in the automotive industry. You have a passion for developing people, operations and product and are a communicative team player that values the full diversity of the team.
