In addition, you will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. We furthermore offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new and modern technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI (Artificial Intelligence), data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our fully electric or autonomous products.

Required knowledge/experience
In this truly global program communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
A BSc or MSc in engineering science or computer science
Experience in applied data analytics
Maximum of two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in order to share and explain recommendations
Creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking
Able to work within a diverse, global workforce with many different stakeholders

Job Description:
As a Data Analyst in the Quality and Engineering department you will support and share your knowledge with the Quality, Environment and VPS (Volvo Production System) team as well as other parts of Group Trucks Operations (GTO). You will have exciting opportunities to apply and develop your skills in data management and data analysis through projects such as
Data exploration/analysis mainly related to Quality and Environment (data capture, mapping, dashboard creation etc.)
Automatize reporting
Support implementation of data related projects
Train the organization in topics connected to analytics
Be proactive and propose the application of analytics/digitalization that will improve our products and processes

Digitalization is a key enabler for GTO and in this position, you will be an important contributor!

You like to explore data analytics topics and if you are not used to working with Power BI – you will learn it! You are fun to work with and you would love to explore new Digitalization grounds within Quality and Environment. You work fact-based, without prestige, and you find it easy to see situations from different perspectives and from that arrive at the root cause. You are motivated by constantly developing yourself and your environment. You enjoy having several tasks in progress at the same time where you can act quickly, and you also participate in long-term projects. You are good at communicating and like to build relationships. You see the benefits of teamwork and can also take your own initiatives and work on your own when needed.

Our team has a global and cross-functional coordination responsibility for Quality, Environmental Sustainability and VPS topics at GTO (Group Trucks Operations). We are closely connected to the Quality and Environment professionals at corporate, business units/business areas, regional, and plant levels and lead GTO networks. Our team members are subject matter experts in the following areas: Product Quality, Product Safety, Product Compliance, Environmental Sustainability, Business Management System, Audit Management as well as VPS assessments and coaching.
