If you are up for the challenge of developing our future Operations and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, our Operations Graduate Program will give you a holistic view of our operational and logistic activities, including both the local and global perspective. You will be working with the technologies of tomorrow, building the products of the future – electric, connected, and automated. In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions.
You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several local and international job rotations and work on business-critical projects developing your competencies for tomorrow. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end-to-end supply chain, aftermarket parts and our remanufacturing operations. In addition, you will gather with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group. We offer the opportunity for you to be part of our digital transformation, applying new technologies to connect and automate our processes. Together we work with AI (Artificial Intelligence), data science, machine learning, circular systems, virtual manufacturing and more, to build our full electric or autonomous products.

Our organization:
GTO Production Logistics is responsible for production logistics within the Volvo Group. With 3 million shipments yearly and 400 trucks moving daily we truly move the Volvo Group! One major enabler is tight collaboration with the regional and plant production logistics functions globally. We have both Operational and Development functions and employ some 700 people in 14 countries.

We, Transport Network Orchestration SE, are a high performing team of persons located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Our mission is to continuously review the transport network to secure the most sustainable and cost-efficient transport setups and a high level of master data quality. Our decisions are data-driven, making use of several data analytic tools. Collaboration internally and with external partners helps us to identify and implement end to end supply chain opportunities.

The role involves designing, optimizing, and implementing transport setups that prioritize flexibility and resilience in the face of evolving global conditions. Leveraging digital tools, you will identify fresh opportunities for optimization. Meeting set targets, you will contribute to significant CO2 reductions and transport cost savings. Additionally, you will provide crucial support for development initiatives and sourcing activities. A key aspect of the role is active participation in driving sustainability transformation forward. This encompasses a holistic approach to sustainable practices, from design and implementation to achieving measurable environmental and cost-saving outcomes.
Who are you?
You have a can-do mindset with passion and energy for improvement and change. As a cog in the wheel, you have well developed interpersonal skills and are good at communication. You always keep a holistic view and are good with data. You have a passion for sustainability and digitalization and an interest in project management.
Required knowledge/experience
Master's in civil/industrial engineering, Master of Science, master's in economics
Experience with data analytics is an advantage
Experience with Logistics development is an advantage
In this truly global program, communication will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
Valid work permit for the applied country if not a citizen.
