Join a global and market-leading logistics company in an essential role as Operations Manager for our brand new Contract Logistics site in Jönköping, Sweden. The scope of the role is to successfully lead a highly knowledgeable team while ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement of processes within the Contract Logistics site.

YOUR ROLE

We are growing with our customer and moving their business to a brand new Contract Logistics site In Jönköping. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. You will report directly to the National Contract Logistics Director and work closely together with the National Contract Logistics team and the Site Managers of our existing sites in Sweden. The scope of the role is to supervise and improve the daily operations at the site and ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for all customer-related topics at the site
- Leading the daily operations on-site
- Supervise and ensure competency development of the individual employees in your team
- Drive and lead continuous improvement processes/projects following QSHE (quality, safety, health and environment) standards and policies
- Ensure QSHE standards and targets are met
- Compiling financial, operational and HR reports
- Actively take part in Business Development activities to add more Customers to the site and grow the business
- Sick-leave follow up, workforce planning and time scheduling, ensuring the necessary resources and competencies to drive a cost-efficient business


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

- Vocational degree within warehousing or logistics or equivalent qualification
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and lead a team
- Solid experience from a similar operational role within warehousing or Contract Logistics
- Commercially minded and capable of interacting with customers
- Result-oriented and possess the ability to lead by example
- Sound knowledge of the occupational health and safety disciplines
- Fluency in written and spoken Swedish and an advanced level of English proficiency is a prerequisite for the role
- Well-accustomed to working with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
