About the role
As the Operations Manager, you will ensure the smooth operations of our laboratory and oversee all tests conducted therein. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all test activities run smoothly, supporting our Test and Verification Engineers and keeping Project Managers and other stakeholders updated. You will drive technical troubleshooting, as well as planning, follow-up, and reporting.
Your experience and communication skills will be crucial in managing the day-to-day planning of test and equipment resources. You need to be agile and ensure that several long-term dependencies are met.
In our lab, we conduct various types of tests, including refrigeration performance, electrical tests, functional system tests, and mechanical tests. You will be involved in all phases of product development projects, from clarifying the laboratory's role to overseeing all required testing.
As part of our laboratory team, you will contribute to the development of our best practices and ways of working. You will utilise your natural leadership abilities to develop the technical potential of the team. This collaborative environment is foundational to ensuring the quality, performance, and compliance of our products, shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions.
What you will be doing
Lead and oversee all test activities within the laboratory.
Provide support and guidance to test engineers to ensure the successful execution of tests.
Actively participate in test execution when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
Contribute to the establishment of robust infrastructure for traceability and reporting purposes.
Shape and refine ways of working and best practices within the laboratory to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.

What you bring to the team
Education in engineering or a broad technical background in physics, mechanics, energy, electronics, or similar.
Experience from a laboratory or test facilities.
Extensive experience in testing hardware products.

We would also appreciate it if you have experience with or knowledge of any of the following:
Heat pumps or refrigeration technology.
Relevant industry standards; Heat pump, Tap water, LVD, EMC.
