Operations Manager to High Voltage Service

High Voltage Products is business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division. The business unit develop, manufacture and market high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories.
HV Service operates globally to support our customers in all aspects of the product lifecycle. With high end services, technical support, product training, spares, upgrades and replacements we ensure a reliable and stable power grid.
HV Service has an exciting journey ahead and are expected to grow significantly the next coming years. We are now looking for an Operations Manager to join our team!

Your responsibilities
In your role you will be the line manager of 11-15 people, all working with different operational areas, such as order design & technical support, planning & procurement, order & project management as well as warehouse & packaging
You will be responsible for team and process development to make sure HV Service are equipped to meet both challenges and opportunities ahead
You make sure your team delivers on time and with high quality to meet customers expectations
As operations manager you will also be part of building a lean culture within your team by working with improvements and other Lean methods
You work in accordance to ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
You will be part of HV Service management team and report directly to the head of HV Service for Northern Europe

Your background
You have a bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have at least 2 years’ experience from a management role
You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you are goal-oriented, flexible, committed and look for improvement opportunities
You have previous experience of Lean and/or Six Sigma
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is considered a plus
