Operative Purchaser

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Systems division in Ludvika. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 50 years and is used to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems. Tasks: This role involves operative purchasing of both control and protection equipment within the HVDC-facilities and of other products to the business. You will also manage the purchasing of indirect materials and services. Another part of your responsibility will be to secure that the right material is available when needed in your projects. You will work with a wide range of assignments ? from planning and managing purchases and tenders to monitoring and following up on deliveries and deviations. Therefore, the internal coordination with ordering offices will be an important part of your success as Operative Purchaser. Further, you will participate in our development, which concerns everything from managing purchases to improving our process. Together with your colleagues, you will be in the midst of events requiring high energy level from time to time. We solve problems together and create a dynamic and stimulating workplace with good teamwork and a high level of competence. You will get the opportunity to get an overview of HVDC and the business, which will provide you with plenty of contacts, both within ABB and with our suppliers.

Requirements: In order to succeed in this role you hold a higher education or relevant experience. Previous work with purchasing from the manufacturing industry and knowledge in SAP is considered a qualification. You need to be fluent in Swedish and English, both in speaking and writing, and you are used to holding a key position and be the one to whom your colleagues turn. Good knowledge in MS Office and Lotus Notes is favorable. If someone were to describe you, he or she would say that you are a creative and structured problem solver who is comfortable being the center of attention. Moreover, you are used to take initiative and plan your work.
