Operators and Teamleaders to Machining production - VCT

Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

The team and the offer
The production organisation - Machining is now recruiting Operators and Teamleaders with clear ambitions, potential and abilities to further grow in to Teamleader or Supervisor roles. You are offered a unique opportunity to be involved and influence the construction of a production organization from scratch. Your accumulated experience, your personal profile and the new technology will be some of our building blocks together with our production system including all its principles.
You are offered to be part of an exciting journey during a construction phase where the emphasis is on the development of your own and your colleague's competence in the business areas. Together with the engineering and maintenance organization, Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and the selected suppliers, we will create a new Machining organisation. You will be a part of theoretical and practical training in the areas of activity. Traveling in Sweden and abroad is mandatory in this role. During the project phase this is a day shift role but flexibility is required during training periods.

Your contribution
In order for this type of manufacturing process to work, cross-border and prestige less cooperation with participants in both the project and in a future production organisation is required. The Machining process is highly automated. Together with the team, you will ensure that production flows as it should by, for example, monitoring machines and ensuring that finished products meet current quality requirements.
As the production organisation during the start-up phase is small, everyone within the organisation will need to learn as much as possible in each area of activity. You will therefore be offered a development plan where you broaden your expertise in, among other things, quality, safety, environment, etc. This will be one of the success factors of the organisation.

What you’ll bring
To succeed within the production organisation, it is a prerequisite to have a high level of safety thinking and an understanding of the importance of a good safety culture and standardised working methods. If you have education and/or experience in CNC machining, this would be beneficial for this role.
We attach great importance to your personality and are therefore looking for you who has easy learning and teaching, leadership skills and process understanding. You have a high willingness to be a part of this journey, you have the ability to see the big picture in order to be able to understand and meet the end user's needs. Communicating is easy for you. You can adapt your communication to recipients and express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, we see that you are an analytical, enterprising and self-motivated person who finds it easy to see what needs to be done, acts and delivers.
