Sandvik Mining is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling. We are currently looking for an Order Management Specialist, to be stationed in Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As Order Management Specialist for Rock Tools you will act as the interface between the sales areas and the production units for Rock Tools on an operational level. The main challenges for the role are to provide sales areas with accurate information on delivery times and shipments and to be the link between the sales area and Global Planning & Production, to ensure orders are in line with supply capabilities and current plans.
Main tasks involve the following:
- Managing customer orders in SMC Logistics from receipt until released for Pick to the warehouse (RP status) and also taking ownership of on-time delivery until receipt at the destination
- Working closely with the sales areas to ensure customer requirements are captured and met
- Ensuring that the customer or front-line request date is captured, visible on the customer order in SMCL and moved upstream in the supply chain (Global Planning & PU)
- Proactively working with order quantities and order patterns from the front line and making sure they are in line with supply capabilities and plans and that the customer order in SMC Logistics is scheduled accordingly
- Cooperating on a daily basis with Global Planning to ensure that delivery promises and schedules are in line with supply capabilities
- Making prioritization decisions or offering alternatives in out-of-stock situations
- Ensuring that orders are released for pick and pack to the warehouse according to agreed cut off times for each destination
- Following main KPIs, delivery performance to request and OFLT (order fulfillment lead time)
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in a supply chain/logistics area, or who has equivalent knowledge, and three to five years' experience in the field. Good knowledge of English and Swedish, as well as in MS Office, is a prerequisite for the position. Other language skills and substantial experience with international contacts as well as our ERP system, system 21, are advantageous.
As a person you are task and result oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace when needed. You are also able to handle quick changes and have good communication skills.
