Purpose Of The Role
The purpose of the role is to develop and strengthen Oxfam’s relations with Sida. The role will contribute to the International Oxfam Confederation and particularly Oxfam Netherlands, by providing an analysis of Sida’s strategies and Swedish politics to guide Oxfam in prepositioning and long-term strategy. Donor Engagement activities will also be an important part of the role.
The role is a tandem position in close collaboration with a position at Oxfam Netherlands. The position will be line managed by Oxfam Sweden and matrix managed by Oxfam Netherlands.
Primary Areas Of Work
• Strategy: Develop an analysis of Sida’s strategy by closely following the political and strategic priorities of the agency and the government; gathering intel to support prepositioning and long term strategy for Oxfam.
• Proactive engagement towards Sida & disseminating information internally; • Facilitate meetings with Sida staff, arrange webinars and seminars together with Sida or for Sida staff and participate in relevant civil society groups;
• Prepositioning with Sida for potential new opportunities, both using existing relations and looking for new opportunities also based on input from regional offices/country offices and HQ input.
• Disseminating expert knowledge of the donors’ funding modalities, trends and concrete funding opportunities, ways of working, policies, strategies and planning cycles to the organisation and countries in which Oxfam operate.
• You represent Oxfam Netherlands with Sida.
• Income growth • You advise and support Oxfam Netherlands and the wider Oxfam Confederation in meeting and exceeding its institutional donor funding targets related to Sida;
• You accompany, coordinate or lead teams in the bid process (develop bid plans, review of drafts, template development, etc) on behalf of Oxfam Netherlands and the wider Oxfam Confederation.
• Internal coordination: • Attending monthly confederation meetings and attending the Oxfam Netherlands 2 weekly Donor engagement meeting. Close coordination with your counterpart at Oxfam Netherlands.
Required Competencies
• Experience from working with Sida including proven knowledge, successful engagement, raising funds and/or contract management experience with Sida.
• Rooted in Swedish civil society, native Swedish speaker and knowledgeable about institutional fundraising for NGOs from institutional donors including overall funding trends.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize, meet deadlines, and hold self and others to account.
• Proven experience in representing an organization to institutional donors at senior level. Strong networking, representational, and negotiation skills including ability to work effectively with others persuading, influencing and supporting, following as required in order to achieve fundraising targets.
• Good communication skills, with proven ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including remote collaboration.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swedish.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Applicants must be nationals of a European Union member State or have a valid work permit for the European Union and have your residence in Stockholm, Sweden.
Valued Competencies
• Knowledge in other languages eg. as French and Spanish.

Additional Information
• Starting date: as soon as possible.
• This is a 50 – 80 % part time position. The employment grade will be decided in agreement with the hired person.
• The length of employment is for one year with potential of extension.
• The placement is in our Stockholm office with some flexibility for distance work
• We follow the collective agreement between Fremia, Unionen and Akademikerförbunden.
