Arbetsbeskrivning
Oxfam is a global development organisation that mobilizes the power of people against poverty around the world. We save lives in crises, help vulnerable people lift themselves out of their situation and we combat the issues that keep people in poverty.
At Oxfams office in Sweden, twelve people work with fundraising, communication, policy and advocacy. We are currently situated in a central location by Stadshagen in Stockholm, with a move planned to Södermalm at the end of 2020.
Oxfam Sweden is looking for a interim Head of Fundraising
The role
Your focus will be to drive the fundraising strategy, lead the fundraising team and our fundraising activities, concentrating on our monthly giving programme. You will also be responsible for driving other income streams from private individuals. You will deliver to highly set targets for the year and ensure a long-term, sustainable fundraising strategy.
You will be responsible for leading four directly reporting team members who collaborate with a group of suppliers that assist with for example telemarketing, online marketing, and customer service. You will also be responsible for the operations of an inhouse Field Marketing unit which encompasses between 10-15 staff members on temporary contracts, reporting to a unit manager directly under your management. You will also be an important part of the Management Team which are tasked with together leading Oxfam’s work in Sweden.
You will actively analyse the fundraising programmes performance in different areas and will therefore also be involved in the continuous development of our CRM system. You are also strategically responsible for the development of our donor loyalty approach and retention results.
Profile
You are a skilled fundraiser, with significant experience within fundraising, marketing, or sales. You have worked with donor/customer loyalty, CRM systems and donor/customer acquisition. We value experience from direct marketing activities such as telemarketing, field marketing (face-to-face), online marketing and postal direct mail. Excel is a tool you know very well, and you have experience in budget responsibilities. You speak and write English fluently; Swedish is a plus.
As a leader, you are experienced and confident, with a coaching leadership style who builds self-propelled teams. You are a person who leads, motivates, and delegates in order to effectively reach common targets and you create enthusiasm and a participative atmosphere in your team. You take initiative, initiate activities, and achieve results, and you are good at independently structuring your work. You understand and apply business principles, focusing on costs, income, and what results in the best returns on investment. You understand numerical reports, solve mathematical tasks quickly and correctly and work well with complex questions.
Furthermore, we would like to see that you are someone who thinks strategically and understands the long-term effects and consequences of strategic decisions. We would also like you to be someone who relates to people in a positive and approachable manner, who communicates and solves conflicts in a constructive manner.
