P2 CAD Engineer

Beskrivning av tjänsten Titanx Engine Cooling AB manufactures cooling systems for heavy vehicles and diesel driven generators.Manufacturing takes place in Mjällby, Linköping and Jamestown, NY, USA.The company's head office is in Mjällby.We have a total of 940 employees, with 400 in Mjällby.Turnover is SEK 2 billion and growing.The customers are leading manufacturers of heavy vehicles, buses and diesel driven generators in Europe and the USA.Organisation: The P2 CAD engineer is part of the P2 service, within the R&D organization in TitanX.He/she reports hierarchically to the P2/P3 Director, and functionally to the project manager to whom he/she is assigned.He/she supports the development & design of new product standards or evolutions of existing ones.The development work is done in project form, where the P2 CAD engineer's work is to initiate, plan and execute the design, drawing and standardization activities from concept idea to fully manufacturing-adapted technology, in coordination with the P2 product engineer.Besides project-related activities, the P2 CAD engineer performs generic P2 activities such as technology-, patent- and competitor-watch and -analysis, as do all members of the P2 service in their respective fields of expertise.Responsibility: Work is performed according to TitanX's 5 strategies, the Constant Innovation Policy, TitanX 5000, the Mjällby Quality, Environment, Security and Business-policies, ISO/TS 16949, and the existing routines and procedure applying to P2, project and engineering.This implies responsibility to: - Be specialist in CAD techniques and methodologies, especially modeling in CATIA V5 according to the rules set by TitanX - Create all necessary technical documentation for each component in the projects, especially ensure the design configuration management throughout the project, and creation of expert models - Manage the design / development / validation of product- and system-standards to respect customer specifications, supplier demands and TitanX internal requirements.- Develop and design products in agreement with TitanX Production System requirements.- Proactively participate in technical meetings and with the involved suppliers, customers and strategic partners.- Ensure respect of existing standards and specifications in the design work.- Participate to calculations/simulations (thermal performance, FEA, CFD...), functional analysis, DFMEA, DFA/DFM, product appraisals, prototyping, design modifications and other technical documents part of the project work.- Participate in the evaluation of prototypes / mock-ups before delivery to a customer, internal or external.- Participate actively in reaching the objectives for the R&D departments.- Participate in continuously improving the project and department procedures.Din bakgrund Demands: - 3 to 5 years mechanical engineering education at university or engineering school.- Knowledge in mechanical resistance and materials.- Proven computer skills, especially CATIA V5 and MS Office.- Can fluently communicate in English and Swedish, both in speech and in written.French is a plus.The location is at the Head office in Mjällby.You will be a part of a dynamic team and work in an international environment.We offer attractive conditions with good possibilities to grow.
