Package Development Engineer

Tetra Recart is a carton-based processing and packaging system designed for food products with particles of any size - products traditionally packed in cans, glass jars and pouches.Thanks to a special packaging material and a new form and seal machine, it is now possible to sterilise the food inside a carton package.Developed by Tetra Pak, Tetra Recart represents a new and exciting business opportunity for the company. Package and Material Development is responsible for the future development of Tetra Recart's packages and for the long-term build-up of Tetra Recart specific know-how.We are now looking for a Package Development Engineer. You will be focusing on method development and specification improvement, using QFD methodology to transfer consumer value into technical requirements on the package.You will work with our commercial packages as well as new materials and new sizes.As a sub-project manager in larger projects you will be expected to plan and drive activities independently, and to lead and motivate members in your project team.Other tasks may be investigations to improve our knowledge of the package or feasibility studies of new ideas. We believe you have a University degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science and 2-5 years of experience in Package Development and/or test method development.To be successful in this position you need to have previous experience from large development projects.You approach tasks systematically and enjoy a mix of theoretical and practical tasks.Experience from test planning and statistical evaluation tools is a merit.You have a strong personal drive and a proven ability to show results.You approach new tasks with curiosity and enthusiasm, and you have good communication skills.
