Package Development Engineer

Assignment description
We are searching for a consultant that will work as Package Development Engineer in a scrum team developing Opening & Closures for the client's portfolio.


Your daily tasks may include:
Translating requirements to sub-system requirements and technical specifications for the area of competence
Support the translation of requirements into package and closure design
Define V&V strategy and plans related to package area and execute it.
Write test specifications, and analyze and document results using reports.
Coordinate & know how to execute all package activities according to existing procedures, standards and methods, in partnership with suppliers, specialists and consultancies.
Drive root cause investigations on package performance and functionality
Drive risk assessment for package
Develop & implement new procedures, tests & validation methods according to requirements.

Required skills:
You have an academic degree, preferably a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
You have good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. In addition, you have networking skills and understand how to manage stakeholders.
Analytical skills, structured and process-oriented. Can manage complexity and ambiguity.
You are a team player that, at the same time, is expected to take on your initiatives and drive activities.

Preferred skills:
Experience in the Product development process in the Package area
Experience in technical test methodologies in the area of Primary and Secondary packaging, including openings & closures
Knowledge of Packaging Material, Food Package Interaction and Statistics
Well acquainted and self-sufficient in Physical Testing
Knowledge in Requirement Management procedure and Risk Assessment
Experience in the Packaging industry is a plus
