Packaging Development Engineer (12 months fix term)
In a global, challenging and rich environment, you manage medicinal products packaging development projects from primary to shipping packaging in the context of Support to Marlketed Products for OTC business (Cough & Cold, Digestive Health, Smoking Cessation, Allergy, Pain, Eye Care). With a specific focus on Smoking cessation portfolio
Your Role:
Support the external and internal manufacturing sites by coordinating and delivering packaging change projects (continuous improvement, process optimization, business continuity, quality & compliance.) including priority projects:
Evaluation of alternative technical resin for existing medical device product (injected and laminated component)
Technical supervision and qualification of a transfer of product of complex multi-pirce delivery systems
You demonstrate leadership and passion to promote packaging solutions that embrace a large span of requirement across all functions (Design, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory) while creating high packaging-driven value to the consumer and ultimately the business.
Act as technical expert interfacing with our supplier & internal technical function and our external partners on all packaging related questions.
Qualify packaging according to quality and compliance standards and together with Operations & Source, ensure the manufacturability and cost efficiency of the packaging.
Qualifications
BSc or MSc within a relevant area. A minimum of 5 years experience from packaging development preferably from the pharmaceutical, medical device, packaging or plastics forming & polymer industry.
You have good manufacturing & supply chain knowledge
You have a good understanding of the process of developing drugs & medical devices. You are curious, creative and able to translate ideas into concepts and projects and an ability to challenge status-quo to drive globalization while managing regional constraints You have excellent interdependent partnering/communication skills & ability to work in a high matrix environment requiring influencing skills and ambiguity management.
You are self-motivated, autonomous and results-driven.
