Packaging Engineer

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
That´s a good question! We at Axis love our products and it is important to us that they are packaged in the best way. Therefore, we are now looking for a packaging developer who is a skilled and ingenious designer with good material knowledge about corrugated, cardboard and plastic. You will be responsible for developing packaging solutions within our new products.

Your responsibilities will be:

- Developing packaging solutions, sales unit boxes, inserts, accessory boxes, shipping boxes

- Constructing new packaging drawings in close collaboration with our Industrial Leads.

-Make generic artwork on sales unit boxes

-Assembly plans for packaging concepts

-Approve packaging drawings from our supplier and have close communication with Axis sourcing team.

-Work closely with our existing and new packaging suppliers

-Assist Axis test engineers with packaging material for simulated test session

We are many stakeholders at Axis who have requirements for the packaging, so the packaging solutions you will design shall be "well"-planned, smart , cost-effective , protective, environmental friendly and innovative .

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Another good question! You should have at least 3 years of working experience from the packaging industry. In addition to this we expect you to have:

* Experience from production optimization in the development of the drawings and it's also relevant if you have understanding of manufacturer´s challenges
* You probably have a good material knowledge and advanced technical competences relevant for the packaging industry
* You are a creative problem solver and passionate about innovation
* Expert in ArtiosCAD and sample making

As a person we believe that you like to be in a fast moving and constantly growing environment. You are used to handling different stakeholders and creating an understanding of their expectations.

Problem solving comes natural for you and you also possess a solid understanding that big change is achieved step by step. You are structured but also passionate who enjoy designing smart and innovative packaging solutions, this is a part of your DNA.

Furthermore you must have the ability to drive several activities in parallel and have the ability to prioritize among these.

It is a plus to have experience working and understanding with different cultures since we have global manufacturing

You will be very involved in product development projects and also be involved in a large part of the packaging process, from production to contact with supplier.
