Part Supply and logistics is a unit within Volvo Cars, which is responsible for the global aftermarket distribution of original spare parts, accessories, and service. Our ambition is to be the preferred provider of parts and service to our dealers and customers, and thus actively contribute to creating the best car ownership experience for our customers.
As a Packaging Engineer you have the responsibility to maintain and develop complete solutions for the protection of the product, ensuring environmental profile and strengthen the perception of the brand. The responsibility is throughout the entire logistic chain from supplier to end customer on a global scale. The group consist of seven Engineers, with diverse areas of responsibility. You will be a part of a service minded team where collaboration and high service are our success factors. Our work environment consists of high ambitions, strong collaboration and a strive to always deliver high quality service and solutions. 

What you’ll do.
•    Develop new product and transport packaging in a variety of materials in collaboration with suppliers
•    Create packaging and logistic instructions for spare parts and accessories
•    Participate in, and drive, projects connected to packaging
•    Calculate environmental impact, cost, and quality for complete logistics flows domestics and international
•    Analyse complex logistic data and present results
•    Develop improved processes connected to packaging and labels for PS&L

You and your skills.
Planning and organizing your daily work self-sufficiently come naturally to you. You are solution oriented, and you can make the right conclusions using facts and data you find. The “can do “-mentality is something you can identify with, and you are happy to brainstorm with others and be creative. Your care about the environment and have a strong feeling that you want to contribute with sustainable solutions. You love to make improvements and communicate them to others through presentations. People feel they can come to you when they need a pair of extra eyes, help or inspiration. If you get stuck on something you have no problem to reach out and ask for help. You believe that collaboration is the best way to get things done and that the best solutions might be around the next corner if you know where to look. 

Required qualifications.
•    Packaging Engineering degree or equivalent
•    Experience in Logistics
•    Computer skills in MS Teams, MS SharePoint, MS Office Excel
•    Project leadership skills
•    Driver’s license B
•    Fluent in English, written and spoken
•    Additional languages – e.g., Chinese, German, etc. is meritorious
