The ambition of Packaging Materials division is to be a global leader in circular economy with our high-quality renewable packaging materials based on both virgin and recycled fiber. Addressing the needs of today’s eco-conscious consumers, we help customers and brand owners to find the best material for their packaging and to replace fossil-based materials with low carbon footprint, renewable and recyclable alternatives. A wide selection of barrier coatings enables the design and optimisation of packaging for various demanding consumer and industrial packaging end uses.
Stora Enso Packaging Materials is a leading producer of Consumer Board and Containerboard materials with an established customer base and a wide product portfolio for consumer and corrugated packaging. Customers benefit from Stora Enso’s broad selection of board raw materials made from recycled and virgin fibre as well as our valuable industry experience, know-how and customer support. Our main customer groups include printer converters, liquid packaging converters, cup converters, corrugators, merchants, brand owners and retailers. We produce our materials at 8 mills: Fors and Skoghall in Sweden, Ostroleka in Poland, and Varkaus, Heinola, Ingerois, Imatra in Finland.
We are looking for a Packaging Project Manager to join Packaging Development and Design (PDD) team to support our sales teams in Packaging Materials to develop and expand connections to targeted Brand Owners and Retailers. Together with our customers and Stora Enso teams you will be steering packaging projects throughout the entire packaging process.
Tasks
As a Packaging Project Manager in PDD, your job is:
• Organisation, implementation and leading of packaging workshops on an international level
• Managing relationships with customers and all other stakeholders
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
• Allocating internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects
• Elaborate project plans to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs, using appropriate verification techniques
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Support and develop our sales teams with your comprehensive packaging expertise into more value and consultative based selling of full divisional product & service portfolio
• Be responsible for more sustainable packaging solutions in all brand owner and retailer market segments.
In your work you will report to the PMO Lead and Head of PDD and work closely with all packaging related teams in Stora Enso.
Requirements
Are you the one? In order to succeed in this role, you have:
• University degree in packaging technology or equivalent work experience
• Proven working experience in project management in the packaging industry with focus on brand owner and retailer business
• Broad understanding of fibre-based and other packaging materials and technologies
• Deep experience in packaging development and optimization for national and international customers
• Strong working experience in virtual and physical workshop preparation and execution
• Wide knowledge on sustainability strategies & improvement
• Latest insights on consumer & packaging trends
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Open minded and positive attitude
• Flexibility and willing to travel (up to 50%).
The location for this position is close to an airport in Europe – home office, but requires readiness for travel up to 50% of the time.
