IKEA of Sweden, or IoS, is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world. Expressed in terms of IKEAs three main processes, IoS leads the processes Creating the Home Furnishings Offer and Supplying. IoS also takes part in the third main process, called Communicating & Selling, which is lead by Retail. Packaging Technician IKEA of Sweden, Älmhult We are now looking for Packaging Technicians to support our Business Areas in IKEA of Sweden! As a Packaging Technician you will be working in a truly international environment. The Packaging Technicians secure quality and logistic values from supplier to customer. The business impact is of great value. As a Packaging Technician you secure quality and logistic values, all the way from creating the products to our customer's homes. You are responsible for packaging development strategies, labeling and constructing original within the business area. The assignment includes: . Determine and describe basic packaging requirements. . Responsible for issuing and approval of packaging instructions and tool specifications. . Participate in the product development process and be responsible for the packaging. . Be a competence resource in packaging within the Business Area and IKEA. . Project leader for projects concerning IOS packaging strategies (if adequate capabilities). The Packaging Technicians task is also to secure that the packaging solution corresponds to sales, forecasts and quality demands by continuously do packaging audits and revisions of on going articles and handle claims regarding packaging. As a Package Technician you also need a personality with great operational and tactical thinking because of the proactive work for the hole package chain. The IKEA corporate language is English and you therefore need to be fluent orally as well as written. You also need to have: . A basic competence in the packaging area as well as expert knowledge within specific packaging areas (construction rather than graphics). . Experience of and interest in working with PC and CAD programs. . Suitable education: post-secondary education in packaging, or similar competence acquired from professional experience.
