The Packaging Technologist, Value Creation will report to the Packaging Technical Specialist - Value Creation. They will be responsible for the delivery of technical value creation projects, creating value across the supply chain.
Primary Responsibilities
1) Project Management
Completion of assigned tasks following a pre-defined process
Management of multiple packaging suppliers timing plans and tasks to ensure smooth development
Management of interaction with filling sites for smooth introduction of new items
Communicating effectively and efficiently on project status, highlighting project risks and opportunities where appropriate
2) Development & Approvals
Development, approval and validation of technical packaging solutions
Development and approval of all relevant technical drawings
Approval of all relevant packaging and product testing and co-development of new relevant packaging test methods where applicable
Development and approval of colour targets and colour matching
Development and approval of relevant packaging standards and tolerances
3) Reporting & Administration
Ensuring that systems are updated with necessary data on project status and completion of tasks
Ensuring that specifications and standards are in place on time in full
Ensuring that all relevant project risks are identified, reported and elevated when necessary
Experience
Minimum of 6 years experience working in a packaging development role
Proven track record for success in a fast paced environment
Qualified to degree level in Packaging Technology / Engineering or relevant discipline
Extensive project management experience in an NPD environment

Experience in developing complex and innovative products.
