Let us describe the challenge we offer
As part of the Central Media Team, the Paid Social Lead has the global and overall responsibility for the output of Volvo and Agency Partner paid social teams. Through their strong relationships with all key stakeholders (internal and external), they ensure the creation and maintenance of all required strategic channel directives, best practice initiatives and detailed processes while developing the product and profile of Volvo Cars.

What you will do
The ideal candidate will be expected to use their own initiative to manage and coordinate the alignment of channel strategy to global media. You will manage teams of channel specialists delivering campaigns across global social platforms and technologies and build relationships and outline the roadmap with key global channel partners (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchap, etc) as well as with key technology partners (such as potential FMP partners). You will be expected to champion programmatic display and video channels as marketing tools throughout Volvo’s organization.
Further you will:
• Develop the roadmaps for paid social in collaboration with our agency partners to drive maturity in regions and markets
• Support the regions in the guidance and development of paid social implementation
• Identify and develop new areas for test and learn initiatives across our market portfolio
• Share great work in paid social across our markets in collaboration with our agency partners
• Assemble case studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of paid social as a marketing tool
• Work with other channel leads and key global/regional marketing stakeholders on integration projects to deliver the best performance for Volvo
• Work together with our analytics teams to develop and maintain a clear, simple reporting and data share process that demonstrates results
• Constant review of all optimization, budget management and other processes for Volvo to identify opportunities for improvement in effectiveness or efficiency
• Be accountable for paid social (strategy and performance) across Volvo
• Ensure all agency paid social engagements have a clear SOW, built to drive maturity in our operations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the creation of channel strategy – demonstrating how display and video can work across all areas of a user journey (from awareness/brand building through to performance and customer re-engagement). You have a clear view of channel best practice to drive maximum efficiency and effectiveness for our marketing investment.
You have experience from:
• Development of channel planning processes for campaign activations – with objectives ranging from audience penetration and engagement, to always-on, DR sales driving activity
• Tracking, measurement and reporting dependencies and best practices
• Integrating paid social in the customer journey and with our marketing channels to deliver the best experience for end-users
