Paint and Surface Treatment Specialist

To our department Volvo CE Materials Technology we are now looking for a Paint and surface treatment specialist. The department is a core competence centre within Volvo CE with specialists in Metallic Materials, Paint & Surface Treatment and Fuels and Lubricants. We provide advanced technical support and analysis for: Technology Purchasing and Supply Management Production / Manufacturing After Market Main Activities: Act as a specialist within paint and surface treatment Support the Volvo CE organization in co-ordinating common paint issues within an international network Support Technology functions in paint related development, metallic- and non-metallic substrates Support the quality assurance of Volvo CE in-house paint processes Drive development projects for new surface treatment methods Support and drive cross-functional paint-related development projects Qualifications: Master degree or equivalent in Mechanical- or Chemical engineering Experience in surface treatment and/or paint technology Experience from laboratory investigations Experience in dealing with design and development as well as process related issues Good communication and documentation skills Good skills in English, written and spoken. Other languages are considered as an asset Experience from polymers /polymeric painting and project management are an asset Personal: Open, social and service minded Characteristics: You take initiatives and are open to change Target oriented with a capability to work independently Accurate and structured You have a strong intuitive and analytic ability to resolve problem You are a networker and team player Applications will be accepted in Swedish and English.
