Materials & Chemistry Centre (MACC) is an independent department within Alfa Laval working exclusively with materials and chemistry related questions. We are now looking for a Paint Engineer to our team for MACC Standards & Regulations in Lund.
As a paint engineer you will work with industrial paint systems for Alfa Laval products. You will primarily be focused on compact plate heat exchangers. Contacts will be frequent with other functions within Alfa Laval, e.g. market segments, R&D and production. The position is based in Lund.
Typical tasks for the position will be:
• Review of customer demands on paint systems and production of applicable paint specifications/procedures
• Support and advice on paint systems, painting procedures, and qualification/evaluation of paints
• Administration and maintenance of Alfa Laval standards for materials
• Various production related support
You will work in a team with 16 high competent material specialists and laboratory engineers.
Qualifications
We expect you to have a Bachelor degree in science of engineering or sound knowledge and background from relevant industry. Knowledge of industrial coatings is a must. Certification and qualification background within industrial paints/coatings is an advantage.
