Part-time teaching at The English School

The English School has grown rapidly since it opened in 2000 and has a current population of 75 students.Situated in Älmhult in southern Sweden it is a state school with support from Ikea of Sweden for the teacher s professional development.The local area, which has a population of approx.15 000, is peaceful and situated in an attractive area with nearby lakes and forests.The provincial town of Växjö is easily reached by either rail or road, as are other large cities in the region and the Continent.The school was authorised for The International Baccalaureate s Primary Years Programme in May 2003 and is scheduled for authorisation for The Middle Years Programme during the coming school year.The school is international and has a friendly atmosphere.The classes are small and all teaching is in English.The position of subject teacher for The Middle Years Programme is now available for the coming school year.The position is part-time and depending on your subject qualifications.Please state clearly all your subject qualifications in your application as other subject combinations may be possible.We are looking for an energetic, positive staff member to join our highly dedicated and enthusiastic international team, starting in August. Professional qualifications - Adequate qualifications and preferably teaching experience - An interest in teaching according to the programme is essential.- Strong interpersonal skills are required.
