The past in hiring is indeed dark. We have all probably experienced that darkness. Not even being considered despite being a relevant candidate. Checking all the boxes in the job ad, but then never even hear back from the recruiter. This is because the classic methods of hiring favor white, middle-aged men that went to top universities.
What we have learned is that subjective screening methods such as CV screening is a major problem when it comes to hiring diversity and talent with the potential to grow within the organization.

The company
Alva Labs offers a SaaS solution that is helping global companies grow their team in a scientific way. Alva has created a unique candidate assessment platform that helps companies build their organizations with the right people in the right place. By combining state-of-the-art psychometrics, data science, and an obsession with candidate experience, it provides the needed tool for data-driven talent acquisition.
We are growing 2-3x per year and are in the exciting phase to launch Alva in new markets. Currently, we are focusing a lot on making Product Lead Growth and international expansion into new markets.
The role
Alva already works with some great partners but this is just the beginning. We have a nascent partnership plan in place and are looking for an entrepreneurially-minded individual to take full ownership for building and implementing a strategy for years to come. We have an efficient sales strategy that delivers predictable results that we’re proud of and feel that now is the time to supplement this with a fully fledged partnerships approach. Working primarily in the UK market, you will:
- Create the playbook for how we win new and further develop relationships with existing partners
- Identify, initiate and sign contracts with new partners in current markets
- Maintain and expand relationships with strategic partners
- Own a sales target - you’ll generate leads, meetings and revenue from happy partnerships
- Wear the Marketing hat - building the Alva brand at scale through leveraging positive word of mouth and company recognition at scale
- Decide upon, set up and run the partnership tech stack
- Work with the Alva team to understand needs, blockers and potential ways to reach your targets
We view this role as a critical role sitting between our Sales and Marketing teams. Partnerships will be a cornerstone of our commercial strategy moving forward, requiring a fine balance of shorter term action and longer term bets to optimise for future growth. - You’re structured - with great planning and coordination skills
- A clear and confident communicator, you have a natural ability to connect with people and build lasting relationships
- You can manage stakeholders at all levels
- You have a commercial mindset - with a natural tendency to sniff out and hunt down fruitful opportunities
- Are comfortable saying “no” and will dare to walk away from partners that don’t show a willingness to invest in a two-way partnership
- You’re structured - with great planning and coordination skills
