We are now looking for a team member who will be overall accountable for Logistics activities in Volvo Buses Europe, with the aim to drive customer satisfaction & uptime. Moreover, to take the accountability of market issues related to process, logistics and new opportunities to provide group stakeholders with feedback of issues and performance from markets. Volvo Buses Parts Offer Team in Europe is responsible for Parts Pricing, Parts Logistics, BI & Business Intelligence and Parts Business Development (Product Manager Emob, Chassis & Body).


A performance oriented team and diverse in terms of age, gender and nationalities, covering the business strategic spare parts for Volvo Buses by working closely together with the different areas in Volvo Buses, Volvo Trucks and GTX (GTT, GTO, GTP) we efficiently execute on strategies protecting and growing parts revenues, maximizing gross profits and increasing customer satisfaction. We clearly focus on activities where we capture the service market potentials by driving new products and ensuring proper parts assortment.

The position reports to the Director Parts Offer within Service Market Volvo Buses – Business Unit Europe.


Main activities and responsibilities:
As Parts Logistics Manager you will be responsible to drive, optimize and align the logistics activities together with the European markets and different stakeholders.


Your task is to drive the Volvo Buses Parts business securing parts availability, revenues and gross profit. You will be the main interface and support for the European markets for parts logistics and responsible to safeguard their requests towards GTO SML. This role will be the one leading the implementation of defined parts logistics into markets according to strategy and roadmap in Service Market. You will also have the opportunity to manage development of parts logistics projects and new concepts together with related stakeholders.
The position includes:
Be responsible to define, drive and follow-up the Parts Logistics execution plan & long-term roadmap together with GTO SML and markets
Deliver excellent support to markets to enable customer satisfaction & uptime
Secure parts logistics strategy and an optimized supply chain, in terms of Genuine Volvo Parts, Truck Shop Europe and Volvo Buses Parts with different stakeholders
Analyze markets input regarding their challenges and gaps in order to support them in the best way
Be the main interface to GTO SML in order to optimize the process and support to our markets
Share best practices and synergies between markets​
Secure parts availability for new product launches​, special sales and tenders together with GTO SML
Support Volvo Buses on Electromobility activities related to parts availability to secure customer satisfaction & uptime
Explore and monitor agreed availability KPIs and PIs to reflect the real customer experience and take actions on deviations
Follow up the cost related to parts logistics and in cooperation within Service Market Europe, drive related issues towards GTO SML and markets
Drive agenda of RSMM (Regional Service Market meeting)
Secure right information and support logistics activities for the European markets
Drive the internal process improvement to fulfil market request and improve customer satisfaction & uptime

Essential educational and Key Competencies:
University degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent
Demonstrate successful tracking record in 5 -7 years of commercial Service Market and Logistics
Have the ability to work simultaneously with a wide range of tasks in a structured manner and deliver according to promise
Result oriented, self-motivating and lateral thinking
Customer centric mindset, ability to focus and prioritize tasks
Experience within project management and stakeholder management
Excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills
Structured and process-oriented way of working
Excellent ability to understand and capture business needs
Knowledge within the Service Market process and retail business
Clear “can do” attitude
Ability to learn on the fly
Fluent in written and spoken English
