Service Market Europe including vehicles quality support, sales of services and sales of parts, is a customer satisfaction and image driver as well as an important business for the company and a major contributor to the group’s profitability.


We are now looking for a team member who will be part of Parts Offer Team and overall accountable for Pricing Activities in Volvo Buses Europe, with aim to drive customer satisfaction and profitability. Moreover, to take the accountability to manage suggested retail prices and suggested dealer discounts for a selected assortment of genuine spare parts to maximize sales & gross profit for Volvo Buses.


The position reports to the Director Parts Offer within Service Market Volvo Buses – Business Unit Europe.


Main activities and responsibilities:
Pricing responsibility for Volvo Buses and for shared parts assortment with Volvo Trucks
Price manager works closely together with Sales Areas, Markets Pricing & Service Market responsible and Product Managers within Volvo Buses
Perform yearly suggested retail price list revision for defined assortment
Suggested retail price process suggesting targets for yearly price list revision
New parts pricing for defined assortment (suggested retail pricing & suggested dealer discount)
Responsibility for suggested retail price level
Maintain PSG (Price Strategy Groups) and DSG (Discount Strategy Groups)
Perform sales supporting activities using PPS (Parts Price Strategy) methodology
Drive PPS restructuring activities according defined process
Raise cost issues towards Volvo Buses Purchasing
Analyze price feedbacks from sales areas/markets and take appropriate actions
Follow-up and analyze the performance of the defined assortment concerning sales and gross profit
Perform price comparisons
Participate in relevant projects and other tasks related to the pricing area

Essential educational and/or training qualifications:
University degree in Business, Economics, Industrial, Engineering or equivalent
Good understanding of the Volvo Buses business and ways of working in the field of Service Market
Good commercial & technical Service Market knowledge
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Excellent ability to understand and capture business needs

Profile:

The job requires a lot of communication and co-operation with people from different areas within the Volvo Group.
