Global Parts & Services (GP&S) is a global business function for Service Market development. Within GP&S, Parts Sales organize four sub-departments: PPL/Product Management, Parts Pricing, Parts Logistics, Digital Sales (e-commerce). We are now looking for a person willing to take on a new and very important function – Parts Sales Analytics Manager. In this role you will report to the head of Parts Sales, but work across all our functions.

Data Analytics is an area becoming more and more important in all areas of Volvo Penta, as a strategic tool for shaping our future success. We have an emerging community of analytics people within parts sales, logistics, e-commerce, customer support, finance and in products and services development. We are in the early stages but rapidly evolving, convinced to shape a more intelligent enterprise. Analytics are key themes for all Volvo Penta, and we continue to add further people and competence in this area to increase performance, deliver intelligence, and to scale up operations of data and analytics solutions.
Parts Sales Analytics Manager
The central Parts Sales department is responsible for developing the Service Market product range and to support the Market Units in driving the business. We are now looking for an outstanding candidate to take on this new role - Parts Sales Analytics Manager. You will be responsible for building-up our capability in analytics to increase sales performance, e.g. deliver intelligence on actual sales and “white spots”. You are expected to foster analytics insight in our, and other, teams. You will evolve our understanding in product and customer sales, prices, discounts, product population and where we perform well and where we have opportunities.
In the expectations for this new role we count in:
Being the Center Point for Parts Sales Analytics in the Company
Utilize data to identify business opportunities and the corresponding actions to capitalize upon them.
Being owner (Key User) for existing tools and applications in this area, but also explore new technologies and working methods
Being a driver of master data enhancement e.g. population
Extensive collaboration with various stakeholders and functions
Being a contributor in the analytics community within GP&S, Volvo Penta and the wider Volvo Group.
This position is located to Volvo Pentas HQ in Gothenburg
Position Qualifications
Core Competences & Personality
Skilled in analytics and data visualization, able to tell a story based on data (PowerBI/Qlik)
Like to work with sales and business development
Problem solving attitude
Excellent in presenting & communication (written and verbally)
General IT system and process knowledge
Entrepreneurial approach and can-do attitude
Capability to frame and drive investigations towards agreed targets and expectations
Networking and collaborative skill
Experience of structuring and manipulating data of scale.
Proficiency in 1 of more scripting languages is seen as a merit (Python, R, Java, Apache Spark…)
Preferred Qualification and Experience Requirements
University degree
Fluently in English
Preferably 2-5 years’ experience from positions with similar scope
