About this opportunity

We are now looking for a patent paralegal for Patent Unit RAN2 in Kista! You will ensure that the administrative part of patenting is handled with diligence, accuracy and care. The job relies heavily on knowledge of the formalities requirements of patent law around the world as well as our internal processes and guidelines.
Patent Unit RAN2 is one of 12 patent units in Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing department (IPR&L). We are a team of 12 patent professionals and 5 paralegal. We support the R&D site in Kista, Stockholm as well as inventors around the world. The Kista site also hosts members of other patent units as well as other departments in IPR&L, so the total team from IPR&L is 116 people on site.
In your daily work you will collaborate with patent attorneys, inventors, patent unit managers, outside counsels / Law firms and other partners in Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing department.

What you will do

Have your own global docket of patent families, where you are responsible for the administrative aspect of the filing, prosecution and maintenance. In the RAN2-team paralegals work together with all the patent professional in the unit. Tasks include:
Filing
national entry
prosecution
assignments
quality checks

Furthermore, paralegals often participate in various projects which often span across Ericsson’s global activities.

You will bring

Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent higher education in relevant field
At least 2 years of experience as a patent paralegal
Ability to work with complex systems
Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility and willingness to adapt and respond to change
A positive and inspiring attitude to your everyday work and teammates
English proficiency both written and oral
Excellent communication skills
