As Patent Attorney you will be involved in the patent process across the organization and your work includes evaluations of inventions and drafting patent applications as well as filing patent applications.An important part of the role will be to contribute to an efficient and ongoing communication between the R&D, Commercial and Legal management functions providing advice in respect of patent policies within the company.You will also liaise and coordinate with external patent agencies and patent authorities globally.The patent department at ESAB provides a great room for personal growth and you will enjoy independence within the role as well as the opportunity to exert influence over your area of work.Who are you?You will need to have at least 3 years of work experience in the patent field, with an appropriate background and academic degree within electronics, mechanics or equivalent.Working globally it is important that you possess excellent language skills in English, both written and verbally, as English is the corporate language.A good understanding of German and/or French is also seen as an advantage. Apart from language skills, good communication skills are an absolute as well as strong analytical ability.You are well organized, highly motivated, focused on getting the job done and feel comfortable working independently to meet deadlines.
