Patent Attorney

The Essity Intellectual Property Department is globally responsible for all our IP activities and is strategically positioned within Global Brand, Innovation and Sustainability.
We are now looking for a qualified European Patent Attorney who is seeking an opportunity to work in a global and innovative setting! We offer you a challenging job in a global company with leading international brands. The position will be specifically supporting our Personal Care business areas.
As Patent Attorney you will be responsible for managing a global patent portfolio, proactively support projects, file oppositions and defend IP rights. You will work globally in close cooperation with our innovation, product development and marketing teams, as well as the business units. The IP Department is based in Sweden, The Netherlands, France, Germany, USA and China. You will report to the IP Director Incontinence Care.
This position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Main Tasks


Strategically manage and drive the development for part of the Essity patent portfolio
Work proactively and closely with innovation, product development and marketing teams in order to identify and protect inventions that are of value to Essity
Conduct FTO investigations to secure launches
Handle opposition work
Support in mapping of competitor patent activities
