As Patent Attorney at CEVT you will join the CEVT Legal & IP team. We are a dynamic mix of professionals with different trainings and backgrounds, with a cooperative and knowledge sharing mindset.

In this role you will be responsible for handling a wide range patent matters, including working with inventors to secure that each invention is sufficiently disclosed to make sure that a novelty search and a patentability assessment can be performed, as well as perform these assessment. You will also be drafting patent applications and carrying out infringement and validity assessments.

Main focus in your role

- Collaborate with inventor(s) during drafting and prosecution of the patent application.
- Perform patentability assessments, draft patent applications and secure that out-sourced patent applications comply with the CEVT quality requirements.
- Perform freedom to operate investigations.
- Handle oppositions and re-examinations.


Qualifications and key attributes

- Engineering Degree, Master level or higher. Preferably with focus on Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years working experience at a law firm or in-house patent department.
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications.
- Authorization to represent before patent offices (European Patent attorney is preferred but not required).
- Excellent English skills, Swedish and/or Chinese is a plus.
