HØIBERG is one of Europe's leading and most respected patent law firms. We are the preferred partner of a wide range of innovative startups, SMEs and leading universities worldwide. HØIBERG Group has offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Herning, Stockholm and Lund.
We are now recruiting talented and ambitious patent attorneys or patent attorney trainees equipped with a good sense for business and commercialization of R&D to our office in Copenhagen. As a candidate, you have a PhD within organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical science, biochemistry, or related fields. Experience from research in the life science industry is a merit. You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing, and you are able to communicate to an audience with confidence. It is preferred if you can communicate in Danish or Swedish as well.
Typical duties as a patent consultant include developing intellectual property based commercialisation strategies, drafting and prosecution of patent applications, patentability analyses of new inventions, assessment of infringement and validity of patents, and assistance with licensing agreements, IP due diligence, litigation, etc.
HØIBERG offers an international and professional workplace, and we are committed to ensuring that our employees thrive and have opportunities to develop their full potential. We actively endorse diversity, equity, and inclusion and offer attractive employment conditions. Being a patent consultant requires a high intellectual capacity and excellent analytical and communication skills, and we are looking for ambitious candidates who are naturally inclined to taking responsibility.
In the absence of prior experience with patents, you will be offered a comprehensive training program during the initial 3-5 years leading up to a European Patent Attorney (EPA) degree. Part of the training is conducted within the framework of your daily work, but you will need to allocate part of your private time to studying during the coming years.
We are looking to fill this position in March-April 2024.
Applications to job@hoiberg.com labeled "Patent Consultant - Chemistry" in the subject field as soon as possible and no later than 29 February 2024.
Candidates may be invited for an interview on an ongoing basis.
Please note that the application must be in English and should include copies of university transcripts, and other relevant merits.
If you have any questions regarding your application, please contact Janni Wandahl Pedersen or Jens Viktor Nørgaard via telephone (+45) 3332 0337.
