You will have the opportunity to develop and structure the competitor and technology monitoring activities primarily based on patent information within the Tetra Pak Group, in close co-operation with the research and development departments, including various technical project and key technology groups.You will be a member of the patent team within the Legal & Tax.
One important task is to use, and when needed develop and maintain, systems for systematically monitoring the patent activities of our competitors and other companies.You will also develop relevant technologies and the technical developments relating to our key technologies, as well as processes for evaluating and disseminating the information from the data obtained.
The position involves following tasks:
- Database search and continuous updating of our current patent database.
- Search and competitor monitoring activities by keeping in close contact with external specialists, database hosts and database providers
- Evaluating search strategies with the help from researchers and technical staff within Tetra Pak.
- Support with the analysis and interpretation of the patent data obtained.
- Providing technical information in general to our researchers in close co-operation with the Competitor and Technology Intelligence functions.
The daily work involves contacts with Tetra Pak researchers and development staff world-wide, dealing with the search for subject-matters within various technical fields relating to packaging materials, packaging machines and liquid food processing.You also promote the use of patent literature as a source of technical information, teach and help the researchers in their own database search work, assisting the patent function in patent information matters and continuously following and keeping up to date with the development of various patent information services.
Kvalifikationer
The successful candidate for this position should be a self-motivated person capable of working independently, having computer skills as well as an appropriate science or engineering background with a university degree, preferably M.Sc.or similar.Good written and oral skills in English are required.Basic knowledge about the patent system and patent information is favourable.
A genuine interest in working with computer systems, as well as curiosity and ability to quickly penetrate and acquire sufficient knowledge about new technical subjects is required.Your profile shows a systematic, analytic and careful disposition in combination with good communication skills.an extroverted, independent character with the ability to keep many threads together like a "competitor monitoring spider in the net" for all product and process development staff within Tetra Pak, as well as for marketing and management functions.
