Description
The team of Legal Affairs Development and Service Operations consists of 22 members acting as Patent, Trademark and Legal Counsels, Patent Research Specialists as well as Patent- and Trademark Paralegals.
The Patent department is now recruiting a new colleague for the role as Patent Paralegal. In this role you will have the opportunity to perform a great variety of tasks providing administrative support to the department as well as contributing to our development activities. The job will include internal as well as external contacts - you will work in close collaboration with Patent Councels, the business, including inventors, and other stakeholders.
Main responsibilities
- Take responsibility on all formal tasks related to patent and design applications
- Support Patent Councels in IP portfolio management as well as in creation, handling and enforcement of intellectual property rights
- Supervise and handle external communication with network of world-wide external agents
- Supervise and handle maintenance fees for the portfolio
- Update information and queries in databases for contracts, patents and designers
- Keep record of legal documents to be signed by partners and agents as well as file documents in archive and internal database
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you need to be a professional, experienced and team oriented individual with high integrity. Furthermore you have the ability to work pro-actively with set targets.
As a person you are accurate, always delivering with high quality, and you take pride in providing timely service and handling multiple tasks simultaneously. You are a team player at the same time as you like and can work independently.
We believe that the successful candidate have completed a secondary education and have a couple of years experience in working with patents and other IP related administrative tasks. You possess a very good knowledge of MS Office and other administrative tools and you are familiar with working with IP management software. Fluency in English is essential, both written and verbal, and any additional language skills are a plus.
