The team includes designers, chefs, architects, buyers, writers and many others – approximately 160 are working in the Stockholm office in Södermalm – sharing their expertise and experience and working towards a common goal. There are also satellite production teams in countries around the globe working closely with ARKET’s suppliers.



Job Description
As a Pattern Maker you work closely with the design team to create high quality garments. You drive the development of fit, size, silhouette and technical solutions based on the visual goal for the target customer. You work actively with production to find efficient and sustainable solutions to achieve the level of making and standard set for the brand. In this role you will focus mainly on knitwear, but also include swimwear.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:
Drive the development of fit and silhouette together with your team and ensure grading and fit in all sizes.
Create measurement list, technical drawings, paper patterns and Draping
Responsible for development of fit, sizes and silhouette at fitting sessions
Develop teamwork and collaboration with Production Office and work closely throughout the sampling process.
Continuously develop working method and follow up, evaluate and update fit, silhouettes and technical solutions.
Look out for solutions for new silhouettes and fits based on team input, current fashion and sales.


Qualifications
A Pattern Maker / technician who has genuine interest in knitwear production. Additionally, you have strong communication skills, take initiatives, plan and drive your department forward. You are structured and organized and able to prioritize your workload. We value new ideas that can be put into practice and the ability to transform ideas into reality. You are flexible and have a positive attitude.
Your profile:
At least 3 years of experience as a patternmaker/technician, preferable working with knitwear garments
Preferably a background working with women’s clothes and grading
Technical knowledge within knitwear production is a benefit
Experience from draping, pattern making and working with measurement lists
Basic computer skills. Experience in Illustrator, CLO and Shima is desirable, experience in Lectra/CAD tool is a must
