Payment Advisory Officer

Sandvik Credit forms part of Sandvik Financial Services.Payment Advisory is a function dealing mainly with finding satisfactory solutions in all trade finance and payment related matters.Customer Finance is another part of Sandvik Credit.It is also a credit management related activity that is organized and governed by Sandvik Credit.Customer Finance is mainly used to promote sales for the Sandvik Business entities. Key performance areas In the position of Payment Advisory Officer you are a trade finance specialist that will be responsible for the structuring of payments globally in accordance with the Sandvik Customer Finance Policy.You will be part of a team of payment advisory professionals that report to the Head of Sandvik Credit and assist in structuring the trade finance business globally for the Sandvik Group. Your main tasks will also include: - assist in preparation and conclusion of payment terms for sales contracts and tender documents for specific business areas - assist in procurement processes for letters of credit, guarantees, collections and other trade finance instruments for Sandvik globally - assist in setting up trade finance systems and processes for Sandvik globally and for specific business areas - assist in educational programs for sales staff and financial staff on a global basis - assist in structuring country risks and payment terms per country - assist in gathering of country information - assist in arranging different risk instruments, e.g.EKN, credit insurances etc.The role as Payment Advisory Officer will include internal as well as external contacts.Your profile To be successful in this position you will need experience from a financial environment together with knowledge of trade finance instruments.As a person you are flexible and meticulous and have a customer-oriented attitude.We are looking for a candidate with a very good command of written and spoken English, and knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
