Financial Control and Accounting Group and Sweden are now looking for a passionate and driven Payroll and Pensions Accounting Specialist to join our team in Gothenburg. If you enjoy working with accounting and in an international, flexible environment you could be the one we are looking for.

Our payroll and pension team are responsible for financial compliance for payroll and pension accounting for 25 legal entities. Financial compliance is defined as meeting all statutory requirements and internal Volvo Group requirements as described in policies, directives and in Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP). The payroll and pension team are responsible for an overall high quality in the accounting. As of today our team consists of 15 payroll and pension specialists.

Responsibilities
Ensuring that salaries and compensations, social expenses including pensions are posted in the legal entity in accordance with IFRS and Swedish GAAP
Independently analyzing the payroll & pension accounting for the legal entity in order to support stakeholders
Lead assigned parts of the improvement work of the accounting processes for Payroll & Pension in order to increase effectiveness
Provide the notes for provisions for pensions and similar commitments and personal costs to the annual report
Prepare parts of the income tax return relating to payroll and pensions
Prepare monthly tax return and ensure that payroll taxes and withholding taxes are paid on time
You should identify opportunities to make the payroll and pension process more effective (with support of Robotics, Alteryx Power BI etc.)

Professional background
You have experience from audit company and/or finance department in an international environment
You are proficient in Swedish and English both verbal and written
You have excellent communication and presenting skills
You have an academic degree in economics or other relevant academic background
You have minimum of 2 years of advanced experience gained in the accounting area, preferably in payroll and pension
You have experience in accounting, Swedish GAAP and IFRS
You have advanced skills in SAP and proficient in Office 365 and Excel
