To our customer, a company in Stockholm within gaming, we are looking for a candidate who is ready for the assignment as a Payroll Specialist for the next year. Start 18th August and for the next 9-12 month.

Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the payroll process. This includes working closely with an external payroll provider, processing timesheets and expenses, updating payroll systems, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation. The role requires strong coordination with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of payroll processes.
Act as the primary contact and specifier for the external payroll provider.
Prepare and submit monthly payroll input to the external payroll provider.
Review final payroll processes each pay period for accuracy.

Time and Attendance Management:

Process timesheets in the time and attendance system, including sending reminders to managers and finalizing monthly records.
Update time and attendance systems with information on new hires, terminations, manager changes, and cost centers.
Expense Management:

Process expenses in the expense system, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
Send reminders to managers and conduct final compliance checks.

Data Management:

Update payroll systems with salary or wage adjustments.
Process financial compensations or deductions such as bonuses, severance pay, taxes, and benefits.
Coordinate with HR on payroll changes due to terminations, new hires, and organizational changes.

Benefits Administration:

Manage administration of pensions, benefits, and insurances.
Ensure updates for new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and salary exchanges are accurately reflected.
Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare miscellaneous payroll reports for various departments and upper management.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
Continuously work on improving payroll-related processes and updating checklists.
Support and Communication:

Provide support to the external payroll provider and address employee inquiries about salaries and payments.
Support HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders with payroll-related questions and issues.
Participate in various HR and payroll projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
Strong understanding of payroll systems, time and attendance systems, and expense management.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
