In HR People Services Sweden we now have a fixed term opportunity for an experienced Payroll Analyst to be part of our change journey, transforming our payroll services to create a sustainable way of working delivering high quality payroll to our business.
You will be a part of the People Services team and join the group of Payroll & Time professionals located at our vibrant sites in Södertälje and Gothenburg or at our growing site in Warsaw. A diverse team of experts who value creative thinking and good coffee in between meetings. People Services Sweden is part of the global AstraZeneca HR function and responsible for a successful and efficient HR service delivery. The HR services are delivered through a mixed model with both inhouse, outsourced and offshore teams.
The role is for the remainder of 2022 and you can be based in either Södertälje, Gothenburg or Warsaw.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will work with our payroll provider to ensure we have a high accuracy in Payroll and you will be accountable for updating data in our payroll system SAP, perform financial controls and manage monthly reports, taxes and payments to non-employees. You will work pro-actively in finding and fixing potential errors in time for Payroll run every month. You will also resolve HR queries and issues relating to payroll and time and be in contact with our employees directly to explain payroll calculations and respond to their queries.
The job is highly collaborative, with internal partners both locally in Sweden and at our regional service centers. You will work closely with the Payroll team and our Senior Payroll & Time Specialist with a focus during 2022 to improve our processes and ways of working.
You will, amongst other operational tasks:
• Assist in performing daily payroll department operations
• Update data in our payroll system SAP
• Debt management
• Compilation of holiday debt report and Year-end Reconciliation
• Salary payment to the bank
• Assist with the preparation of payroll data, reports, and new-hire employee information.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
• Support the team with continuous improvement and documentation of processes and detailed work instructions
Within HR and at AstraZeneca, we continuously try to simplify and improve our ways of working. Who are you?
Essential Requirements
• Extensive Payroll/Time experience that has given robust knowledge of legislation, policies, processes, data and systems related to Payroll & Time.
• Experience working in a customer service environment, providing advice and guidance face to face, email or phone, and of having worked in a technology-driven environment.
• Strong detail orientation, analytical skills and structured.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain highly confidential information
• Skilled in data analytics and proven ability to use Microsoft Office products in general (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and MS Excel specifically
• Fluent spoken and written in English and Swedish
Desirable Requirements
• Previous experience with Workday
• Knowledge in SAP payroll system
