About this opportunity
At Ericsson, we are committed to provide code that never sleeps; enabling automated life cycle management of Ericsson’s Core Network products. With the move to 5G, the Core Network is re-designed using cloud native network functions and container-based software, based on Kubernetes. In order to reach our product automation goals, we are looking for an PC CDD Environment Manager to join Packet Core’s Continuous Delivery and Deployment development Program (PC CDD).
In this role, your main purpose is to secure the environment needs in the program. In practice, this means you actively work with the program’s environment needs and coordinate between our teams and Shared Target Cloud (STC), who operates our environments. As our environment manager you work strategically and, plan and lead the environment changes for our teams as well as daily have knowledge on the status of the environments. You will engage internationally as we have teams in China and in Poland. We see you cooperate with the Program Leader and produce material for environment budget and forecast.
What you will do
Coordinate and agree with STC on our environments to secure successful and timely deployment.
Drive and maintain an environment roadmap for Design & Test environment and for our E2E Test environment, depicting future changes
Be responsible for establishment and follow up of cost (budget & forecast)
Keeping track of current/planned versions/releases of the different nodes/components
Together with the teams, plan and ensure that they have the right environment
You will bring
A structured mind-set with good planning skills is very advantageous
Network engineering competence and working experience - skills to plan, implement and oversee the IP networks
Background working with installation/troubleshooting
Experience working with Kubernetes
Experience working with Test Automation
Ability to act fast and decisive with our team’s success in mind
